Looking for good place for fishing?

Hi guys, I need a place where I can get my girlfriend some good fish. looking for a place near Salt lake that I can get her good size fish I don't care if they're carp catfish anything just something that I can get her excited about.
Any ideas! Thanks!

Welcome to the site Dave. Do you plan on ice fishing or fish the soft deck? Lower elevation lakes like Willard and Utah Lake are opening up but they are usually slow this early in the season, unless you have a boat. If you are OK to go ice fishing, there are several lakes that are doing pretty good, just don't know about good sized fish. If you can find a good spot, Strawberry can be good for trout, you can read some of the reports about that lake and others on this page. If you are ok with catching perch, Rockport has been producing well. Good luck, no matter where you end up and let us know how you do.
