Deer creek walleye fishing?

This is not a new thing. Pretty sure all the state parks close at 10PM.

You are correct - the parks do close at 10:00 PM.  What is new at Deer Creek State Park (and only at Deer Creek) is you can't be on the lake in a vessel after 10:00 PM.  That isn't the case (YET) at any other park that I'm aware of, but it will only be a matter of time before managers at other heavily used parks decide to do this.  This is bovine excrement of the highest odor and needs to be challenged with gusto.  As can be seen from the quote below, the next 'meeting' is scheduled for May 20, 2021.  I have no idea if this will be an open meeting or a virtual meeting.

ADMINISTRATIVE PROPOSAL AND 2021 SCHEDULE ADOPTION Amber Stubbings, Administrative Assistant to Jeff Rasmussen, and secretariat of the Board, proposed open dates for the 2021 Board of State Parks meeting schedule. The Board voted to approve a schedule, withholding a date for November until some conflicts can be negotiated. COREY CRAM MOVED TO APPROVE THE DATES FOR THE 2021 BOARD SCHEDULE AS FOLLOWS: FEBRUARY 18, 2021; MAY 20, 2021; AUGUST 19, 2021. LESHA COLTHARP SECONDED THE MOTION AND IT CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 

Also, here is a list of the current board members should you be so inclined to send a tactfully (civil) written protest to the Deer Creek restrictions to night fishing.  I read through all of the Board minutes back to Nov 2019 and could not find a reference to this approved restriction and I was unable to find the earlier 2019 minutes or any of the minutes for 2018, so I have no idea when this was approved or from whom the request came from.  Here is the list of board members and their email addresses (the addresses are published on their website):

Since Deer Creek SP is in Wasatch County, at the very least you should send your comments to Brent Boswell.
