To each his own...
....one year, I separated the walleye, crappie, and striper fillets and then added in some store bought tilapia and did my own experiment with the family. I asked everyone to rank their favorite fish. Striper won hands down with crappie coming in second, walleye third, and tilapia from the store last. If I had to choose, I would take the walleye personally because they are easier to fillet and take less time. But, the striper is really good.

As you said, to each his own.  My all-time favorite fish to eat is yellow perch.  I wouldn't trade it for anything coming out of fresh water and darn few coming out of salt water.  I grew up in Michigan and Friday nights in most VFW halls, it was all you eat lake (yellow) perch, french fries, and coleslaw all summer long.  Never got tired of it and still think there is nothing better.
