A hot day in direct sunlight could seriously compromise the strength and integrity of the filament. Additionally, anything less than 100% infill would lack necessary strength, in my opinion.
Maybe you are using different filament and already addressed the 100% infill, if so, my comment is not relevant. Otherwise, I'll say "I told you so" when you lose your rod.
Indeed. They aren't made using a filament printer. They are made of nylon on a SLS printer.
