Tried deeper this time, starting out at 54', then moving to 44', and finally 35'. Perch are everywhere and hitting everything, even biting a bare tungsten jighead. Drop down, bottom out, set the hook, reel up, rinse & repeat. Only a magician could have handled two rods. Still, nothing over 10". Packed up & drove down to that last restroom on the S end, walking out to see how those parties were doing ---ditto re: perch, tho some smaller, but they were getting some trout, fishing from 10-30'. From what I could see, nearly 20 groups out on the ice today. Nice to put some faces on BearLakeFishGuy and some other BFTers. Hopefully everyone taking home a limit, or it's gonna be Stuntedville in a few years.
Yessir! It sure was. I was the fellow you walked past right before you got to your hole at the dam. My hole was at 36 ft and it was crazy to see what was happening on the fishfinder. It was a pretty quick fillet quota and since a fair number were suspended in my spot, I could target them and release some smaller ones without barotrauma. My biggest keeper was 10 7/8.
If I knew it was you, we could have talked Jordanelle bassin.

Ice thickness was 4 inches at my hole.
