I always make sure to kick my motor off well before I’m in there but I’ve met some amazing people if I just keep it cool and chat them up. Seems the standard around here Is everyone parks on the ramps in the winter time is that not a thing? Seems everyone does it at Jordanelle? Nothing like getting some practice on your technical backing.
I haven't been to Jordanelle in a long while, I cannot recall whether there is signage on the ramp or not.
Deer Creek has always had signage, though I spoke with the Park Ranger, he said despite constantly installing new "No Parking" signs, they only last a couple of weeks before people tear them down.
I would love to be able to turn off my motor before approaching the ramp, but unfortunately my boat is large enough that power loading is the only feasible way. Hercules himself could not bow-winch this thing onto the trailer.
