Bummer you had a bad experience at the ramp. Countless times at deer Creek I have pulled in and there are people fishing on the ramps. I always make sure to kick my motor off well before I’m in there but I’ve met some amazing people if I just keep it cool and chat them up. Seems the standard around here Is everyone parks on the ramps in the winter time is that not a thing? Seems everyone does it at Jordanelle?  Nothing like getting some practice on your technical backing.

I haven't been to Jordanelle in a long while, I cannot recall whether there is signage on the ramp or not.

Deer Creek has always had signage, though I spoke with the Park Ranger, he said despite constantly installing new "No Parking" signs, they only last a couple of weeks before people tear them down.

I would love to be able to turn off my motor before approaching the ramp, but unfortunately my boat is large enough that power loading is the only feasible way. Hercules himself could not bow-winch this thing onto the trailer.

I get it, I miss my old Lund Genmar. She was 27 feet with the swim deck and you had to give her some juice to get up on the trailer. Crazy to think that somebody thought that right where all the boats come in and out is a good spot to put your fishing line. Hopefully there wasn’t any damage done and maybe they learned the lesson. There is signage everywhere of no parking, but it seemed that there were such low numbers in the winter time that some people parked along the ramp and some people took the extra two minutes to walk from the parking lot.
