This may be off the subject matter but I do have a tale to tell about huge catfish. When the Lake Waco, Texas dam was being built, the engineers drove pilings into the river bottom for anchors. When a diver was sent down to check, he shot back up in a hurry. He said there was a catfish down there big enough to swollow him. Skeptics that they are, the engineers drained that particular section and sure enough, when the piling had been driven, they had trapped a catfish. They needed a crane to pull it up (don't ask me who had the courage to slip a cable around it) and hauled it up onto the bank. The blue cat measured more than ten feet and weighed more than 400 lbs. Its age was estimated at more than 100 years. Its picture was in the Waco paper and I carried it with me for the longest time. Don't see them like that any more.<br><br>
