Pelican Update

Hehehe, you slay me. The "I know she's in there" is because I think I actually saw her once. No I wasn't with RMA, just goofing. Did they have a tournament there?. Great bunch of guys in RMA. Camping is wide open and free at Pelican. There are nice restrooms at the ramp, and a few covered picnic tables. There are no other facilities, so bring water and shade. By mid may, bring bug spray too. During the week, Peg's cafe is open on the east side for burgers and such. It actually is a very nice place to camp and has a beautiful view. A boat or tube or yak is almost required in these low water years. There are very few shore fishing areas available. A lot of people do wade, but make sure you use waders or risk the 'swimmers itch'.
