Who Says Carp Aren’t Game Fish?

I've not caught any big fish in my time before, and I just can't seem to catch them on light tackle. I might buy some new line and try it again. They snap my 12 pound test like it's a spider web.

I had a fish on it one day.. a carp, well, it's this story..... Does fishing line get stretched out so bad that you should just change the spool? I am wondering if I should respool.
