I have spent quite a bit of time down at bountiful pond as some of you may know. Anyhow I thought I'd give a little report. Catfishing has been steady with the best times between 11 and 1 am. Then it picks up again about 4 am till 6. Your best bet is chicken livers. Dont let them get rotten though. They need to be fresh. Shrimp has seemed to work well as well as stink bait. The panfish action can be good when it is warm enough in the evening. If the mosquitoes are out then chances are the panfish will be biting as well. The best places for the panfish is all along the north side anywhere you can cast a small jig under a bobber in front of the reads. Catfishing is good anywhere. 2 days ago I nailed a 5 lb largemouth on accident. Hes going on the wall. White bass can be had on spinners around the bridges and dock type dealy thingies. Throw silver or brass. And hey dont forget about the carp theres lots to be had here. Put some moss on your hook and throw it out. Yup MOSS. Ive seen some flyfisherman with black wooly buggers and some sort of larvae imitation slaughter just about any species of fish especially the carp. Im sure ill be there tonight as well.
