Strawberry River question

I am headed to the Uintah Basin tomorrow and I was hoping to fish the Strawberry River near the Pinnacles on the way home. However, I heard a rumor that river around the Pinnacles lost most of its fish in the past year because of low water. Can anyone confirm or deny this? thanks.
