The fish averaged 11 inches and were taken with night crawlers and PowerBait. Anglers using an assortment of baits and lures reported good success for rainbow trout, the majority of which were stocked 11-inch fish. [font "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"][size 3]Over the weekend boaters caught stripers that weighed from 1 to 3 pounds around Stewart’s Point. Channel catfish are also being caught in that area by boaters and shore anglers.[/size][/font]
[font "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"][size 3]Boaters told NDOW creel census clerks that they managed to catch a few largemouth bass and several smallmouth bass over the weekend in the Overton Arm. Most of the smallmouths have been coming from around Echo Bay.[/size][/font]
[font "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"][size 3]Two shore fishermen had no luck while fishing for stripers early Monday (6/14/04) morning at Hemenway Point and Pumphouse Cove. They said one angler they encountered at Hemenway Point had caught a pair of catfish that were 2 to 3 pounds.
Boaters are still finding stripers from Hemenway Point to Boulder Beach and at Boxcar Cove and the 33 Hole. Casting Sassy Shad lures and drifting with anchovies are taking the fish.[/size][/font]

By Sunday the fishing made a turn for the worse and fishing was poor.
Largemouth bass fishing has been fair in coves around Cottonwood Cove and creel clerks saw a fish that weighed 3 pounds.
Rainbow trout will be stocked from shore at Willow Beach on Friday, July 2. This is the first of the weekly plants that will take place from Willow Beach Hatchery.

However, temperatures have begun to rise with the arrival of warmer weather.
Rainbow trout fishing has been good and all of the fishing parties that were checked over the weekend by NDOW creel census clerks had trout. Most of the fish were just under a pound, but there were a few that weighed around 2 pounds. Anglers fishing from the dams are catching trout with PowerBait and live worms.
Largemouth bass are in a post-spawning mode and the action for them has been fair. NDOW is reminding anglers that bass must be 10 inches in total length in order to be kept.[/indent]
