It's one thing to have an advisory in several of the SoCal waters as far as not keeping the Kingfish or Croakers as well as the muscles for human consumption. I catch those for bait only.
As far as the market fish go, I generally don't buy fish from the store unless the season has been really slow and there is nothing worthy of table fare.
The USDA should have some more stringant inspections of certain fish types. That would help keep most general market species more tableworthy and keep the worms and diseases out of the consumers reach.
