Hey there JimmyEverett,

Welcome to BFT and all our boards. There is a guy fishing the local saltwater that has a senko-like bait (Jerkit) that he does the same thing. When we chum live anchovies he will watch for a swirl out 30 or 40 feet or more and cast to it to get some really nice 4, 5 and 6 pound calico or sand bass!
