I attempted to go fishing today... twice...
5 am I went to my local bait shop after loading my boat. I sat there for several hours waiting for the shop to open, and about 7.30 I finaly gave up. I could have been half way to tipy dam in the time I waited...
so I desided I would just pitch a few lures and take a ride on a lake I hadnt fished before to get a lay out...
pulled in to the lot un hooked the boat, hooked up the depth finder when I noticed I had forgotten my tackle box. being I was to far from home to run there and back since the bite is over at 9 am and it is already 8, I ran down to the next bait shop and picked up me 3 dozen crawlers. I had a couple hooks on the rods so I figured if I get something so big and it breaks my line I would have something to brag about.
the biggest fish was a 2 inch blue gill, that was my only fish.... I got off the lake at 10 am.
I went home an got ready to go out fishing this after noon, I got my box ready and placed the crawlers in the cabnet in the house so they did not bake in the sun. worked on the ancor wench because the baring went out on me... cant be fixed. I waited for my neighbor to come over to go out. we were short on time. the evening traffic jam was about to begin.
we hopped in and got on the way my neighbor asked me if I had worms and I said yes. so we picked up about 3 dozen minnows and was on our way.
we launced the boat got out to our spot when I realized I did not bring my worms. we needed worms that what I was using yesterday along with a few megabait lures. I also forgot to bring my time peace so we had no clue as to what time it was.
we did catch one break today we got off the lake at the right time....
my neighbor did manage to land him self a 11 inch red eye.... I landed a crappie on a megabait lure... My neighbor had a hold of something so big it ran and snapped his line.... 10 pound test...
not to bad realy, in two days my boat has pulled in three master angler fish.... you aready know I landed a 11 1/8 inch rock bass yesterday along with 3 10 inch blue gills.... (did I mention that I was fishing for Pike)[
