native cuttthroat returned to reader creek.
#3
I used to live in Vernal and have a lot of experience on Reader creek. The problem I have with trying to remove an introduced species to make room for a reintroduced native is simply removing the brookies from reader creek is nothing more than a stopgap. If the brookies have a competative advantage over time they will reestablish themselves. If not from the remaining individuals in the creek then with individuals from one of the several lakes that feed or are fed by reader creek. In the end the DWR has spent 2 years, god knows how much money and 10 years from now nothing will have changed.
