Met Dave Genz today at the Lakeville, MN Gander Mountain. He seems to be a real nice guy. Talked to him for about half an hour before he did his presentation on ice fishing. I asked him a bunch of questions which he answered... all of which made sense.
He told me about a lot of things that are sold in stores and how I can make my own for a lot less. Then in the presentation, he tried to sell everybody on why they need this and that. LOL.
I asked him about his trip to Buffalo Bay several years back and he recalled some big, burly guy wearing shorts and t-shirt while riding around on a sled and playing football.
Anyway, when all was said and done, Gander gave all in attendance (about 16 guys), free caps and a baggy of goodies (of which, one will certainly be useful this winter).
