what are your views on the c&r of "trash" fish?

I think that this is really an indepth question. I am all for catch and release. Here's my view however, some fish compete for other for food, space, habitat. If the trash fish in compeating with a more popular game fish, kill, but at the same token game fish and over populate so you might need to harvest some of those as well to help keep the population health
