Weber River this weekend
#3
Oh, the huge amounts of sacrilege that I'm about to invoke upon myself.... [pirate] I was fishing flies with a spinning rod and reel. I was working the provo river "bounce" method with the scuds and sow bugs. But.... but but but.... I was at least fishing flies so hopefully all the members of the Izaak Walton league will have mercy on my cramped fishing style.... [angelic] Just teasin you guys... I just haven't bought the fly rod and reel setup yet but if this last weekend was any indication, it might be time to join the ranks, at least part time anyway, for panfish, whitefish, possibly some trout, although I have preferred methods there, and maybe some summer morning topwater bassin. It sure looks good when all of you regulars do it, I've just been talking myself out of it... lack of patience, too much time, elitist sport.... blah blah blah.... Many of you on here have proved me wrong in at least one and usually more of those aspects, for which I'm eternally grateful. Especially to Leaky, without whom I'd never have experienced the throb of a headshaking whitefish, let alone one on a fly. And, shameless plug for Sportsmans, at least the one in Provo, thanks to Mike in the fishing department for pointing me in this direction regarding whitefish specifically, because normally those fish wouldn't have ever even entered the scope of my fishing focus.
