[reply]I caught this fish today in Oak Orchard Creek today at Point Breeze... right next to lake Ontario....

Any ideas? I have had some opinions, but want to hear yours!

Yes that is a Shad. Never caught one on a pole before but that is what it is. I use them to catch White cat on the Osage River at Truman Lake in the coming season. I have snagged one on a treble hook like you did when fishing for game fish though.
