My best place is Packwood Lake. Its at the base on Mt Rainer in Washington State. My dad use to take us up there every summer. It was just under a 5 mile hike so when we were around 8 or 9 I remember my dad having to help carry or packs. I quit going up there when I was about 17. Then after I got out of the service and had kids I took the Boy Scouts up there. It was real eerie because nothing had changed in all those years. None of it had been logged so the same trees and everything was the same. A few years a go we went back up there with my dad. He pointed to the small island in the lake and said when he goes he wanted to be cremated and put on the island. Well my dad passed away just before Christmas this year. So my brothers and I are going up this summer and full fill his wish. Its also in my will to be up there. Al
