My thoughts exactly, WH2. February is deep into the winter and if there is a lot of snow on the ice, 4X4 four wheelers are pretty usless too. I know a lot of guys who fish Strawberry in the winter who won't take their 4 wheelers for that very reason. I'm not real keen on Strawberry. The thrill for me is not catching 50 trout in a day. I would not mind sharing the expense of the rental of a snowmobile with someone if it came down to it. I have a large jet sled and a 3hp X 8" power auger, not to mention the ice hut and the rest of the gear it take to ice fish and I'm not hauling it by hand very far. I've dragged that sucker a mile past the rock pile on Bear Lake many times and those days are swiftly coming to an end.
After first reading a post about catching white bass thru the ice by HFT and subsequent posts by others about the same subject, I have been rather intrigued by the idea. My first choice is the chance at big fish, even if it means an all day waiting game but I would go for the Utah Lake suggestion. JMHO..............
