i was a bit concerned about the ice conditions at deer creek. it appears it is the land slide winner. i fished deer creek right before ice on that was feb 11 right before the olympics. that was this year. mind us that last year was one of the coldest years we have had. i remember years that deer creek never really froze. also the wind can be horendous at deer creek as well. just some info from what i remember. i have always planned my last fishign trips around deer creek because it is always the last to freeze from the res. i fish.
