no boat title
#3
in michigan, small boats normaly dont have titles... and only need be registered if you put a gas engine on it.

get a sales receipt from the person you perchased it from.... or go out and buy a engine and use the number from the engine to register for boat numbers.

in addition you will need a registration for your boat trailer.... pick them up at the same place and the same time... save your self a trip....

stop by your secritary of state... if the boat has never had a motor on it, may never have been registered. I asume this is a row boat.

My grand father gave me one from back during that time, he never had it registered because he only rowed out a hundred feet from shore and back. when I went to get it registred they asked for numbers from the boat, in my case the numbers had been worn off along with the most of the rest of the print on the inspection plate. so the lady at the secritary of state or "DMV" asked me for the serial number on the motor, I had not yet picked up a motor for it. I got a new brigs for my boat and took the reciept in and that was all I needed to get it registered.

I am sure if you buy a used one or if you have a boat motor registred to you, you wont have any problems....

take what you have and go in and ask....

I doubt vary much that it is hot, there is not much of a demand for old aluminum row boats...

good luck, and by all means as soon as you christen it with a fish be sure to take a pic of it, we would love to see it, both the fish and your new water treader....[cool]
