heaven in hell Report
#1
well some times you have to go through hell to get to heaven.. and heaven was just a 6 houre drive to lake powell..
well we got to bullfrog and headed down the lake about 3 miles and set up camp.. then going from a hot tip from one of my buddys that was there the week before we set out for lake canyon.. first night we cought the boils and smacked them hard.. we got about 10 each the first night..
thinking that the boils would be back in the morning we went back to camp..
next morning we went back to lake canyon and found them feeding again on the boil.. but very spooky and would go down fast if you tryed to get to close.. electric motor works verry good for moveing closer after shouting down the big motor..
well the boils did not go off like the night before so we started fishing with anchoveis in the area we were seeing the boiles.. and the stripers just went off on them choveis.. we got at lest 20 to 30 stripes that morning and went through 4 bags of choveis as well..
well the stripers slowed down in the afternoon so we would go SM bass fishing over by camp or in one of the back canyons.. man then smalley sure are fun to catch.. well the rest of the trip go's about the same for the 5 day's i was there strippers in the morning smallmoulth in the afternoon then stripers at night.. we found no need to fish any where other than lake canyon the whole trip..
biggest striper was 28" and about 8 lbs.. biggest smally was around 20" and about 3 1/3 lbs..
