Unoficial Football Pool Tally & Chatt
#21
With division titles up for grabs and playoff berths looming large, Week #13 provided us with the thrills of that all important playoff push. With that being said, "Is it possible to improve on perfection?" If you are the Indianapolis Colts, the answer is "YES!" The Colts are making perfection look easier every week as they rolled past the Titans 35-3 improving to 12-0, keeping their date with destiny alive. The Bengals proved they're the best team in the AFC North, and more importantly got the monkey slapped right off their back, as they beat up on the Steelers 38-31, while the Giants rebounded from last weeks debacle, hanging on to beat the Cowboys 17-10 to take over sole possession of first place in the NFC East. The Jaguars rallied for their fifth straight win as they knocked off the Browns 20-14, while the Buccaneers used three interceptions by Ronde Barber to steal victory away from the Saints 10-3. Don't look now, but the Patriots are getting healthy as they cruised past the Jets 16-3, while the Panthers finally stopped Michael Vick and the Falcons 24-6. The offensive-less Bears did it once again. Yes, the Bears won their eighth straight game in ugly fashion, shutting down the Pack 19-7, while the Chargers playoff hopes brightened as they bolted past the Raiders 34-10. In the game of the week, the Chiefs kept their playoff hopes alive as they got a much needed victory and some help from instant replay to turnback the Broncos 31-27. Finally, in the Monday Night finale, the Seahawks used three defensive touchdowns to blowout the Eagles 42-0.

Left for dead?... Rock bottom? Yes Detroit faithfuls, this is where the Lions stands as we reach Week #14 of this dreadful football season. They have lost 5 of 6 games, Mooch is gone, and they have now just been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs with four weeks remaining. A collapse? Guess you could call it that. Does it really matter that we travel to Lambeau this week to take on the Pack? Not really, especially when in just six short weeks, we have gone from sharing the division lead, to cheering on fans in the crowd that hold up signs that say "FIRE MILLEN"
