Okay, I am dumb as a rock and need some help with the new proclamation. On page 3 under "highlights" it states "Burbot were illegally introduced into Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Anglers must keep and kill any burbot they catch. Burbot limit is 25."
I guess DWR figures these fish won't be very easy to catch and therfore no one will hook 26 of these fish in a day but they don't want you to have more than 25 of them at home in your freezer.
My question is what do I do if I go up to the Gorge and have some extremely good luck and get 26 Burbot in one day. Do I just club # 26 in the head and throw it overboard and then stop fishing?
Please help me I do not want to loose any sleep over this!
There must be a simple answer to this but I sure as heck can't think of it.[unsure]
I sure hope those Burbot were not brought down from Idaho or they may be on the cover of the proclamation next year.[
