Early Koke Question
#4
I have never found the drag from dodgers,or popgear to be much of a problem when fishing for kokes.90% of fishing for kokes on open water is done with downrigger's,so drag is only a matter when reeling in a fish.Popgear ,dodgers, and sling blades are all good for catching kokes,as the all give the lure alot more action .I think that sling blades have less drag then dodgers, but not much. Some times i will use two sling blades at once to create more of a whipping action on the lure.

One of the most important things about using blade, dodgers,or popgear is finding the right combination of lure action, speed, and depth to give the right presention.I have found that some types of lures work best with dodgers,as others work better with popgear. Some times i will work a dodger on one side with popgear on the other. But if your using a down riggger, and the pole is in the rod holder, drag shouldnt be a problem.
