The fish were bought by the show...from a private hatchery in the Spring Lake area...not sure of the exact address, but that area. The show organizer's told me they tried from the start to get a round trip permit from DWR but were declined.
2. They cost $1.00 an inch...and the smallest bass was 12 inches long. Granted not monsters...but at least bass.
3. Years past...there were only trout in the "bass tank"...to show bass techniques with. In the recent past is when there was actually bass and trout in the tank.
4. The good news is that the show is planning on using the bass & bass tank again at the RV show this upcoming weekend. Hummm ... plenty of time (no friday afternoon rush) for the DWR to contemplate a travel permit if Cabela's is still interested.
