Slush/Strawberry

I am heading up the Berry tomorrow, and was wondering the best way to combat the slush. We will be over in the mosquito bay area not too far from the shore. I don't have snow shoes so I was wondering if there are any other good ideas out there. Would breathable waders be worth it? Any Ideas? I didn't think I was going to hit the hard deck anymore this year, but it is gong to be too nice of a day to pass up. Oh yeah, one more thing, I broke the screw hole brackets off my tranducer. Would it be ok to use duct tape cautously to tape to a piece of pvc or something? I need a way to attach it to something. Any ideas on this also? Thanks
