The majority of thier growth occurs in the first 7-10 years. They may get a lot of length or fast growth but after that time the only thing that grow on them is their fins and head. Cartilage never quits growing and that is why old men have big ears and noses. Weights may vary due to spawning aor just growing fat in a productive place. Just being old dosen't make you big. So throw out the averages, the illusion that the older the fish is the bigger and enjoy catching them."[/size][/font] [font "Arial"][size 2][/size][/font]
