As I stated earlier I like to tether my boxes to my equipment. Especially a float tube.
Most of my cheap boxes do not have a place to hook a lanyard or a zinger.
In that case I drill a hole near one corner. Through both sides of the box. I deburr the holes. Put a short peice of heavy monofilament ( a section out of an old leader works) through the holes. Tie a knot and the put some Dave's fleximent or Knot Sense over the knot ( any flexible gap filling adhesive should work). Thus I have a loop in the box that I can hook something to.
