I'm waiting with baited hooks for the lakes to turn over but in the interim time I'm heading for Cascade this week. Will sleep in the boat one night. (on the trailer if thunderstorms come up in the afternoon) We hit C.J. Strike three days ago; only fish we caught were perch although we were trolling for trout. Quite a few fishing boats there but all I saw were perch being caught in the main pool. Still too early for C.J. bows I believe although some reports suggest someone has caught a few lately. Last October Strike came alive once the lake turned.
Henrys is my primary mid to late October destination. Arrowrock is down considerably now; washboard road sucks and dusty to the max. Lucky Peak is still a froth from the 10,000 powerboats. Both should improve gradually now with cooler weather + school starting.
Anyone else heading for Cascade this week?
