Fishing for the kids

[cool][#0000ff]Yep, there are a lot of trout folks who cry about losing Mantua, as it once was. However, I don't think the kamloops project was a great success. They are too touchy about temperature to survive well in lowland Utah waters.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Hey, have you tried the rainbows at Yuba? From sometime in October until iceup those big bows cruise the shoreline looking for a fight. Last year the average was over 3#, with many over 4# and more than a few between 6 and 8#. I fished them mostly with small spinners but saw a couple of fly guys bendo on bigguns so I know they are susceptible to feathers.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I have caught steelhead and big rainbows in several states and I have to say that I have never hooked any rainbows that fight any harder than those Yuba fish. You gotta give it a go.[/#0000ff]
