[cool][#0000ff]I met (and fished with) Dave a couple of times. He left good memories in my database. It always twangs you when someone you know goes "too soon". Makes you swallow a couple of times and wonder..."How long have I got?" Especially for us "young" guys that read the obituaries every day just to be sure we aren't in there.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I apologize for injecting lightness into a situation. But, we all need to accept it, deal with reality, and move on as best we can. Dave probably wouldn't have wanted so much fuss made over him. I know I won't want it. Obviously it will take more time for his family and close friends to work through it.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I once overheard a guy talking, who had recovered from a severe heart attack. He was telling a friend that at the moment of realization...that he was probably dying...he remembered thinking "Damn...there are so many things I still wanted to do.". He was happy that he had the chance to do some of them and it completely changed his way of doing things.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]When I go, I want to be able to face it like the character played by Robert Duvall in "Lonesome Dove". I think he said something like "We had a hell of a party, didn't we?"[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Thanks for letting us know, Brody. Hope you are dealing with it okay, and also hope the family is getting through it too.[/#0000ff]
