FG,
Speaking of a tippet threader......
Yesterday afternoon on a whim because the weather was so darn nice I went fishing. I huffed and puffed 15 minutes into this Canyon only to realized I did not have any reading glasses. It took a long time to tie on two size 16 flies at arms length while bending and twisting my hand to get the tippet to reflect light and the light to glint off of the eye of the hook. I really should have been tieing on size 20 or so but I knew I was not going to get that accomplished. After fishing for a while the tippet was tangled around itself. It took another long while to get it untangled. Then there was a second tangle that just was not going to come undone without better vision. I decided it was time to just mosey on out of there before I really got at myself. Got to the truck. Drove back down the mountain to where the river meets the road. Put the glasses on and cut up some sausage and put it on crackers for a snack.
That was the first time I have ever got to the river without having at least one pair of glasses with me.
Could have used a threader for sure..... I think I know just the wire in my fly tying stuff to try. Some stiff steel wire that is platted silver color.
