I think some of your info may be a little out of date. I enjoyed the "Fun Tag" for a year or two before they decided it was costing them too much money. I think doing away with the fun tag probably cost the state in Fishing lIcenses as well.
The State Parks did away with the "Special Fun Tag" for anyone 62 and over about 2 or 3 years ago. The price on the passes went up to $70/ yr and $35 for older guys 62 and over. I have met some people who think their "Fun Tag' is still good and I think when they are caught they will probably only get a warning. I'd be all for bringing the Fun Tag back if that's possible.
