[#505000]Never any hard feelings. [cool] I love a good debate, and anyone who knows me knows I very rarely get or upset over anything. Life's to short to get my shorts all in a knot over things outside my control, and even over those things I can control. I love to pick a side (the one I feel is right) and examine it for all it's pro's and cons, then present my case. It's all in good fun to me. [][/#505000]

[#505000]I agree on some things we also spend absurd amounts of cash to prevent the rare occurrance. Just as sometimes seatbelts can cause fatalities it's proven time and time again to be the exception rather than the rule. [/#505000]

[#505000]I didn't point this out earlier because it was completely irrelevant to the discussion but parachutes on commercial planes wouldn't work. Commercial airlines fly way too high and too fast for them to work. The jump would kill enyone who tried to make it! [] In the D.B. Cooper case from the 70's Cooper had to get the plane to slow down to an almost unsafe flying speed (the plane wasn't designed for) and a lower altittude to make his jump. The debate is still ongoing as to whether or not it was slow enough or low enough for him to have lived. [/#505000]

[#505000]In all reality though if it was in anyway practical I imagine commercial flights would have parachutes. Who knows, and frankly who cares? [][/#505000]
