I'm thinking of one of these instead of a pontoon for floating rivers and moving out on bigger stillwaters. I have a small cockpit kayak. However, this large open cockpit enables you to get out easily whenever you wish while flaoting a river. I borrowed this one when i was in Rhode Island. I didn't fish from it. We were on a lake and I used it to tow the tube and get quickly to the preferred locations. I did all my fishing from my tube as it is much more efficient for positioning etc.
