The key to good booties is to make sure you have enough room as to not cramp your feet. You would be best to go into the dive shop with your waders and the type of socks that you plan on wearing.
Two key elements of the socks are for 1. Warmth. Make sure they will keep your feet warm as cold feet tend to cramp up quicker.
2.Whicker. The sock become a good whicker to keep your feet dry in case you get too warm.
Chose the right socks for the amount of warmth and comfort that you desire and make sure they are absorbent.
Take the gear with you to the dive shop (as I already mentioned) and get everything fitted at the same time.
I suppose you already have some comfortable Fins that will just slip right over the booties, right??
If not, go ahead and fit the whole combo in one trip. It will save you more gas, time and be more productive for your fishing schedule.[cool]
