[#0000ff]With a few exceptions most of our lakes all get hit hard for a short time, when other lakes slow down and before still others come on line. Look at Huntington. The first two weeks after iceup, everybody hits it. Then Scofield and Strawberry freeze up and Huntington gets very little attention for the rest of the winter.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]DWR maintains that no lake with perch or crappies is ever "fished out" by anglers. They suffer far more losses from predators and from swings in weather and water levels. A few short weeks of ice fishing will not touch the total biomass of either of those species.[/#0000ff]
