Utah Lake Ice Conditions?

i just got back from lindon boat harbor and i would not trust the ice conditions,there is open water at the opening of the bay and the edges are thin there are big open water bays in the lake itself,i fished the open water at ice edge with jigs and wax worms but all i got was frozen fingers/ears the wind is blowing firece.there was no one in the marina but me.hope this helps good luck and dress warm if u go
