[#0000ff]I don't know many tubers who have not experienced leg cramps at some time. Diet and conditioning are the two best preventatives. Calcium and potassium rich foods can help the muscles...as can sports drinks.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If you suffer chronic leg cramps or muscle spasms in your back, or elsewhere, you might want to get some medication with quinine. I finally ran out of the quinine pills I used to be able to get in Mexico, without a prescription because they quit selling them even down there. However, I have found a legal and effective remedy you can buy online fairly inexpensively. I keep a small bottle in my chest pack, while tubing. If I have spent too much time on the water or have had to work in the wind too long, I sometimes get leg cramps. When I feel my calves tightening, I put a couple of these little pills under my
