Tackle/storage boxes for tubin'
#30
[cool][#0000ff]I have 5 rods aboard. In the picture, you can't see the light baitcast rig in the back. It is a medium light 6' rod with a fast tip and 6" line on a Quantum Manta light baitcast reel. I use it a lot for bottom bouncing larger lures in deeper water.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The other 4 rods range from a 6' ultralight, to a 7' medium light, with a 6 1/2 and 7 foot light action in the middle. All the spinning rigs have Okuma Epixor #15 reels, spooled with 4# Silver Thread Excalibur line. I set up all my rods in advance, with the sizes and colors of lures I anticipate I will be using. Then, when on the water it is easier to rotate rods than to keep retying. I use the lightest rods to throw the lightest lures and for fishing shallower water.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I caught that brownie on one of my lightest rigs and she tried to get away with a lot of line and a new experimental jig. But, I convinced her to join me in my tube for a couple of pics before sending her back to fatten up on some more perch fry. She was skinny from spawning but was chowing down pretty good. Poor old girl barfed up her breakfast when I brought her aboard.[/#0000ff]
