Bear Lake - how do you rig your Cisco?
#1
I have been fishing Bear Lake for some years now, and have always fished with tube jigs tipped with a 1 - 2 inch piece of Cisco. I usually cut off the tail, split em down the middle and then cut them into a few pieces to put on my jig. As I was hooking a piece on yesterday, I realized that my jig/meat combo didn't look much like a fish, which I suppose is what I am trying to imitate. I do catch some fish, but maybe there is a better way so I could catch more fish - I hear from a lot of you that presentation matters. I have seen others using lots of different methods, so I am curious. What is your favorite way to rig your Cisco (on a tube jig, whole thing on a hook, small pieces large pieces, etc.) and do you notice a big difference in catch rates with different presentations?
