[black]It could be possible to walk out to Bird Island, but it is over 2 miles out there from Lincoln Beach. It would also be possible to get an ATV or Snowmachine out that far. But there are a couple of considerations you should be aware of before hand.[/black]
[black][/black]
[black]First, if you broke down out there, it could be a long long hike for self recovery of your machine. [/black]
[black][/black]
[black]Secondly, I know of three springs between Bird Island and Lincoln Beach - two of which are warmer water(there could be others as well). Those areas could be of concern as far as stability of the ice there goes, and the weight of an ATV should it happen to cross that ice may be too much to be supported. [/black]
[black][/black]
[black]I would urge caution before venturing out that far on Utah Lake ice. [/black]
