Shore fishing on the Mayan Riviera
#6
Looks like there is a bunch of great info already in this post but does anyone have any other info. I will be going with the wife and sister/bro in law mid march. We are staying at some place just N of Tulum (Dreams tulum I think) Anyway, I am the only one who fishes out of the group and I am looking to do some fishing from shore. I will try the hard sell for a charter when we get there... (lot's of sun, scenery, cocktails, maybe a dolphin or a turtle, and the once in a lifetime opportunity to make your husband really happy....)

Any tips on locations. from what I can find it looks like you can get away with the the same equip I use here in MN for Muskie and Walleye.

Any magic lures... colors... I see a trip to cabelas in my very near future.

Thanks for any advice you can give. I have never fished the ocean from shore but would love to give it a try.
