I don't mind you asking at all. One pole was set right on the bottom with a one ounce sinker. This rig produced two cats and three Stripers. The other stripers required a little more effort to catch. The sensitivity on the sonar was turned way up, zoomed in, and bottom locked. As the bait rig is lowered it can be seen on the screen and presented right in front of any fish present. As fish appear on the screen the depth of the bait is adjusted accordingly. This technique allows the angler to move the bait to the fish instead of waiting (and hoping) for the fish to find the bait. Many times you can see fish (lines) move to the bait. It's a lot of work, adjusting the depth, according to lines on a screen, just to land a few small stripers. Is it worth all the effort? Well this time of year something has to be done to trigger fish to bite. Using electronics sometimes enables you to do this. My Bro, BLM (Utah) is a master at it. Sorry I'm rambling. Anyway, thats what I did on that cold windy day.
