i set up qwest DSL a few months ago, for what you do at home and surfing the net it is fine. i can download anything i need to in a matter of minutes. unless you are planning on performing some kind of web design i think DSL is great, i would look into higher speeds for manageing my own web site or something it would just make the "uploading" to it from the pc faster....save your self some green and go qwest, i pay for the phone and DSL 50 a month. the phone is digital with voice caller id, and waiting, the dsl package i got sent me a modem, install software, and when i had issues setting it up i got people on the phone right away that totally reset all the IP address stuff and that in simple step by step walk through fashion. they were great and really helpful right away. for my cable comcast is the worst company to work with for customer service, if i could get a dish ( i rent) i would...but as it is i pay the 14 bucks a month for the stooped basic analog signal with some local HD brodcasting for my LCD. if i had a choice between comcast and someplace else for cable...i would find someplace else i am not impressed with comcasts lackadasical attitude and their lag in correcting errors...to the tune that i shut them down at my house for 3 months while they got the correct credits to my account, i was billed for pay per veiws i dont even have access to. i dont have the box just the wire they told me i ordered them with my remote...sha right. nuff said.
